Have you come across any really interesting or specialized niches?
I think it's neat that one of our members has a blog all about bad tv advertisements (http://tvs-worst-adverts.co.uk/)

I haven't come across any that are unique unless it's of a personal nature. But I tend to stick to reading what I'm interested in so I dont go looking for new blogs too often.
No matter what niche people choose, there are always others interested in reading it which I why I always recommend to write about what interests you - No matter how unique your interest or hobby, there is bound to me people with the same interest.

One that keeps coming up for me is "Going Green". I read a lot of biz mags and they won't shut up about the business opportunity in the Going Green movement. It's still new enough that the space isn't completely dominated and I think a really good site on the topic could do pretty good. I've been toying with the idea myself. So many ideas to choose from though, I'm not sure what to do next!

I just saw his site today from the thread about Ryan somebody or other! I love it! Wish there was an American one like it. As I commented, if there was -- I'd be voting everyday!
As usual, I agree with Dave. It doesn't matter what you write about, if you like your topic. There are enough readers to go around for everyone!

I know a woman who just started her paintball blog. Not only are paintballing blogs rare (okay, so I've never seen one focused on just that, so who knows if there are any others), but she's also a 'female', so it's even more select. She loves her niche to death....I never would've thought of it. (I don't have the link offhand or I'd linky to her.)
