A few days ago, I blogged about a certain product. It was nothing really, just voicing my opinion and sharing other experiences with this product.

This morning, I get an email from the advertising and public affairs manager for this product asking me if I wanted a sample of their product and did I want to become a distributor (which I do not). The mention was less than a line long, how this person found it is beyond me? I doubt she sits on my blog waiting with baited breath till I post profound thoughts!

It's easy for companies to do vanity searches on google or whatever for their name/product. Maybe you rank well for one of their company/product names and that's how they found you.

Yes, or Google alerts so they are emailed anytime someone in a forum or blogosphere someone mentions their product or company.

You will definately get more offers like this as you review products. I've had quite a positive response after reviewing a product or service. It can be a great way to get some swag :D

I think I should start reviewing stuff and then I'll get emails and it'll make me look popular!

(A joke will follow this word of caution - please take it lightly.)

Ah, the Ford Model-T. A wonderful piece of antique automobile history which should be a part of every automobile lover's collection. Great gas mileage (compared to a horse and carriage), very popular in its time and the best thing was you could have your car in any color as long as it was black!

Sorry Jelena, couldn't resist.

But if you don't like the idea, you can make anti-crawlers like from Nokia to N0k14.

Are you getting me? hehehe.
