I know a lot of people use technorati to see who is linking to you, but you can also use Googl'e Blogsearch (http://blogsearch.google.com/).

What I liked about it is, after you do your search:

link:http://www.yourblog.com/

It gives you the chance to stay up to date on the results and you can sign up for an email alert or subscribe to an rss feed (that is what I did). Kind of handy.

I have a few email alerts set up but I did not know about the rss feed option.

Thanks for the tip. :)

I've looked at Google BlogSearch before, but it seems to be no better than Technorati (Though it probably has less downtime!). Technorati is in the WordPress dashboard already though, so it's handy. :) (And it's kinda nice to use a non-Google product tbh...)

Same here, didn't know the RSS option was in play now, but then again it's been a while since I looked at the search!

Not in the latest version of WordPress, it's Google. Of course, you may not have upgraded to 2.3 yet :)

Now there's an interesting fact I hadn't come across before. I used to use the More link to get to technorati and must not of clicked it recently but I see what you mean. Did this happen in 2.3.1 or was it in 2.3 as well?

I'd heard about that, now that you mention it. Is there still the option to use Technorati, or is it all Google? (Knowing WordPress, there will be a plugin at the least! xD )

But no, I'm still on 2.2.x. I never use the first release, and I'm not going to upgrade anyway until I have the time to retro-tag my blog. Not something I'm looking forward to. :(

I think there is a plugin to switch it back. I already have Google blog comments firefox extension running so I know who's blogging about any page I go on :)

To which, the firefox extension? Google Firefox Extensions (http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/index.html) - it's called Blogger web comments, but not to be confused with Blogger.com.

I don't know about the WP plugin, I just heard a buzz over there being one maybe.

I'm using the RSS feature of Google's Weblogsearch for a while now, but recently it reports so much content-scraping Spam blogs that it is not as useful as before anymore. Technorati on the other hand seems to be quite good in identifying the spammers, at least I haven't seen them in my watchlist, yet.

I haven't tried any of them yet. I feel that even though I've been blogging for few months, there is so much I still have to learn! Thanks for posting this. I'll check it out right away.
