Free Graphic Ads....need ideas

As I am not adding anything graphically to my blog for halloween, I thought I would give away some ad space instead!

I have three slots available and the graphics should be 170 x 122 (px, landscape) which is the size shown above minus the stroke and rounded corners as I would do this myself prior to uploading.

The idea is to give three people a free ad space for one month starting from the 1st November. This gives a couple days for people to make the graphics. Only part I'm stuck with is coming up with a way to choose the three people! Obviously, if I don't get three people interested, it would be pretty easy to pick but if more than three are interested, I need a way to choose. I don't want people to have to do much as it takes away the whole point of this being a free.

Naturally this is only open to TBE members. The best idea I have come up with so far is accepting the first three to reply with their finished graphic, but this may be unfair as some people are more 'graphically gifted' than others :tongue:

I would appreciate any help in how to choose the winners as I would need three graphics by the 1st for this to work. Thanks!

That's very generous of you Dave! As far as picking people, if you get more than three, you can always do some kind of lottery system.

If you don't know how to make graphics, I could probably whips something together for you although it would be VERY basic :D (talking a box with some words)

Lottery system sounds cool too.

The main reason in asking people to design their own ads is that mostly, people want their ads to look a certain way. It also gave me a way of choosing winners on a sort of first come, first served basis.

If people aren't up to making the ads, I'm sure I could come up with something ;)

I left my in the raw angular format so you could do just that if mine happened to be used. Mine's simply a blog, though, that doesn't offer anyone services other than laughter, so I'm perfectly fine with it not being used if there are others that come in the next day or two. I just thought it was fun to do anyway.

And for the record, that's completely different than what I'd planned in my mind. I figured I'd have a response to the question, but everything came out sounding like I was advertising a fetish porn site, heh. Think: "Looking for something a bit quirky? QuirkyJessi can satisfy your random needs/fun desires/etc/etc/etc," hehe. Yeah, no thanks. So I scrapped any possibility of coming up with a proper way to say what I wanted to, and just left the graphic, added flashy color (sorry, lol), and passed it on. Like I said, it was fun....and I couldn't help but giggle at all the things I couldn't make sound simply silly.

Leave it where it is, I'm considering giving the other three entries a month's worth next month. Afterall, there were only 6 total and that way, everyone's a winner.
